Research activities in this area are focused on investigating, developing and testing innovative new ways of delivering efficient design, construction and operation of constructed facilities in a sustainable manner. Therefore, we focus on the following aspects of sustainability research:

·        Design and Construction of energy-efficient (Green) Buildings

·      Evaluation of the performance of Buildings with respect to energy consumptions, carbon  emissions, orientation and forms

·         Environmental impact assessment of Buildings and Physical Development Projects

·        Climate change and adaptation strategies

·        Re-use and re-cycling of building materials

·        Stakeholders’ engagement and development of community led initiatives.

·        Development of skills and knowledge for sustainable  human settlements

·        Crime prevention through environmental design and planning
